3 Functional performance
3.1 Description
The product built-in overheating and overcurrent protection function that adopts in 35mm DIN rail
installation and replaceable surge protection module, which can be easy to install and maintain, besides it has
a remote failure alarm port (No-Active Contact) for remote control. The product built-in busbar and the alarm
port is connected in series, only keeping one port for easy wiring by the customer.

4 Product Installation
4.1.1 Install
Authorized professional person is permitted for installation and maintenance; The product can be
installed in the 35mm rail on the switchboard, which is in the equipment; Kevin connection is
recommended for the surge protector, or general parallel connection can be used (as shown in Figure 1)
Table 1. Recommended connection specifications for each port
The alarm connection terminal is located in the top of the arrester. When needing remote inspection and
control, draw the plug at first, and then insert the alarm lead into the corresponding connection hole. Use
an SL2.5 size flat screwdriver, tighten the screws, and insert the plug back into place (as shown in figure
2). After the wiring is completed, check the connection loop again to make sure it is right and reliability.
The surge protection device can be on working status immediately once the power is on.
Replace when it is necessary to replace the surge protection module, use an SL2.5 Phillips screwdriver to loosen
the screws in the direction of the arrow of the product logo and pull out the surge protection module with
force as shown in Figure 3 below. When reinstalling the module, it is recommended to tighten the screws
with a torque range of 0.5N-m.
Notes:
The power should be cut off during installation and maintenance of the base seat of surge protective device.
Do not operate when the power is on in case of getting an electric shock. Do not connect the protected line
with the unprotected line or PE line side by side. The section, length and connection methods of the
grounding cable should be comply with relative standard; otherwise the surge protection device can’t work
correctly. No especially maintenance is needed when the surge protection device works normally, but
connection cable and alarm window should be checked periodically. When an alarm window is red, it means
that the surge protective module is failure and should be replaced immediately. If the remote alarm port is
connected, there will be an alarm signal.
